Has your toilet bowl got a crack in it, does your toilet rock or is it loose? If the toilet bowl is cracked it should be replaced, if the toilet rocks or is loose and not cemented or siliconed to the floor in the bathroom it will need to be re-fixed to the floor.
Is your toilet cistern working properly?
Is your water level sitting too high?
Does your toilet only half fill?
Does your toilet cistern overflow?
You could have a blocked sewage pipe. There are several reasons for a blocked pipe. It could be tree root infiltration into the sewer pipes. It could be a foreign item such as a child’s toy has been flushed down the toilet. Or it could be sanitary items or even too much toilet paper causing the blockage.
Water leaking around the base of a toilet, could be from a damaged and leaking flush pipe, (this pipe connects the toilet to the cistern) or there could be a loose wax seal, or you could have a cracked toilet bowl or a cracked cistern.
Cherrybrook Plumbing can inspect and repair any water leaks immediately. Signs such as water leaking around the base of a toilet, water running constantly into bowl, a toilet not flushing, or incorrect water levels indicate a problem. A leaking cistern alone can waste up to 260 litres of water per day and a blocked or leaking sewage pipe is a major health and environmental hazard.
